Jordan Herrick is originally from New Martinsville, West Virginia and graduated cum laude from Marietta College, in Marietta, Ohio, in 2006 with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology. While at Marietta College, Jordan was an active member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and many other student organizations. In May 2009, Jordan received his Juris Doctorate from the West Virginia University College of Law. While at WVU, he was a Tom & Anne Peyton Merit Scholar, a Gladys G. Davis Law Scholarship Recipient and a Russell Dunbar Law Scholarship Recipient.
Since joining Bailey & Wyant, PLLC in August 2009, Jordan has been admitted to the West Virginia State Bar and the Bar for the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Jordan practices in a number of different areas, but the focus of his practice is in general civil litigation, labor and employment practices, environmental law and natural resources, and governmental liability.
While at Bailey & Wyant, Jordan has had the opportunity to be highly involved in a number of cases. Very early in his career, Jordan had the opportunity to be directly involved in a three week, multi-plaintiff trial in Jefferson County, West Virginia, where he assisted in securing a defense verdict for a whitewater rafting company in a case alleging damages for emotional distress as a result of a "near drowning experience."
Jordan is a member of the West Virginia Bar Association and the Kanawha County Bar Association.
