Mike Addair is an Associate in Bailey & Wyant, PLLC’s Charleston office. He is a native of Bartley, McDowell County, West Virginia. He graduated from Marshall University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He then graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2007. While in law school, Mr. Addair was a member of the West Virginia Law Review. He served on the Law Review's Executive Committee, where he oversaw the publication of student notes for Volume 110 of the West Virginia Law Review. He also published an article in Volume 109 of the West Virginia Law Review.

Mike was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar in October of 2007. He has also been admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Prior to coming to Bailey & Wyant, he was associated with the law firm of Huddleston Bolen LLP in Charleston, West Virginia. His practice has primarily been focused on the representation of businesses and individuals in the areas of products liability, mass torts, toxic torts, deliberate intent litigation, professional liability, personal injury, and general insurance defense.

Mike currently resides in Teays Valley, West Virginia with his wife, Carla.

Recent News

[05/18/12]  Thomas E. Buck and Bruce M. Clark have won the case of Yanchak v. Lindh and Youth Services System, Inc. This matter, which was pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, sought to establish liability against the defendant Youth Services System, Inc., under the doctrines of employer liablilty and respondeat superior. Mr. Buck and Mr. Clark defended Youth Services Systems, Inc., in this matter and were victorious on behalf of their clients.

[05/07/12] Bailey & Wyant would like to welcome our newest associate attorney, Dawn George, to the Firm. Ms. George is a 2007 graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law.

[04/20/12] David Mincer and John Fuller gave a presentation at Glade Springs on Insurance Portfolios and Unemployment Compensation.

[04/19/12] Billie Jo Streyle won a summary judgment for a State correctional facility on all claims that were alleged by the Plaintiffs against the correctional facility. The Court granted summary judgment on the Plaintiff's claims for cruel and unusual punishment, pursuant to the United States Constitution and West Virginia Constitution. The Court also granted summary judgment on a loss of consortium claim alleged by the Plaintiffs. The Court found there was no genuine issue of material fact regarding any claims alleged by the Plaintiffs and dismissed the case in its entirety.
