Bailey & Wyant, PLLC Associate, Jeffrey Carder has been nominated for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 2019 Pathfinder Program. The LCLD Pathfinder program is designed for diverse, high- potential attorneys early in their career. It is the mission of the Pathfinder program to provide opportunity to the best legal talent regardless of color, gender, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or disability and to improve overall quality of legal service through diversity and inclusion.
This past weekend, Mr. Carder attended the first of many Pathfinder conferences. The 2019 Pathfinder Class is the largest in LCLD history, signaling that the legal community is gradually increasing its commitment to hiring and developing diverse talent.
During the three-day conference, Mr. Carder had the opportunity to engage with and begin developing relationships with young business leaders and attorneys from across the country. We attended workshops in which we completed interactive skill development assignments. The training modules focused on encouraging Pathfinders to take leadership in the legal profession by becoming activists and mentors for other young diverse attorneys.
“While the first Pathfinder meeting has concluded, I am now part of a network of attorneys who are interested in my career development and who are personally invested in my success,” said Carder.
Bailey & Wyant, PLLC understands the important role diversity plays in the success of the legal community and we are committed to strengthening the diversity in our community and our state.
The LCLD Pathfinder Program is composed of in-person meetings, online experimental learning, compass conversations of small-group regional gatherings and peer networking. For more information please visit https://www.lcldnet.org/.
