Bailey & Wyant, PLLC is proud to announce Michael W. Taylor, Esq. as its newest Member in our Charleston office.
Michael W. Taylor is originally from Clarksburg, West Virginia and a graduate of West Virginia University College of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif. He first stepped into our office the summer of 2010 as a Summer Clerk and joined the team officially in August of 2011 as an Associate.
Over the years, Taylor has proven himself as an excellent attorney with his defense litigation involving such issues as constitutional law, civil rights and Title IX violations, education law, employment discrimination, government liability and appellate advocacy. He has become a contributing member in the legal community by presenting at a multitude of events on behalf of the firm on topics of Title IX, Bullying in the Workplace, and Social Media Policies and Procedures, to name a few. Taylor is a published author, having his article on the fiduciary obligations of online service providers to its users published in the West Virginia Law Review. He currently teaches the Constitutional Law Class at George Washington High School, one of the school's dual credit courses offered through West Virginia State University.
Taylor is a member of the West Virginia State Bar and the Bar for the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern District of West Virginia. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Taylor lives in Charleston with his wife Marie and two daughters.
